FWIW, I just had a quick look at what info Proz.com has on C>E rates - 'standard' rate per source 'word' - I guess we have to assume character - is USD0.11, so that's USD110/CNY720/GBP68 per 1000字. That's averaged from a couple of thousand translator profiles. Quote
