RobAnt Posted April 11, 2006 at 05:12 AM Report Posted April 11, 2006 at 05:12 AM I know I've asked this question in the other thread, but it might get lost there. So where is the best place I can pick up the Intermediate and Advanced Pimsleur lessons? Unfortunately, I am not working at the moment (heart attack), and they're quite expensive - so the cheaper the better. If someone has the original CD packs in good condition, and would like to barter an exchange, then I'm sure we can work something out, I have lots of things I no longer need - computer networking kit, USB memory, digital camera (must be worth something) - PM me. Thanks. Quote
Craig Posted April 11, 2006 at 05:50 AM Report Posted April 11, 2006 at 05:50 AM You might want to check your public library even if they don't have it often times they can do an interlibrary loan and get them for you. Quote
RobAnt Posted April 11, 2006 at 06:30 AM Author Report Posted April 11, 2006 at 06:30 AM Noted, Thanks Craig. It would be nice to own them, though, if I can get them. Quote
doumeizhen Posted April 12, 2006 at 06:30 AM Report Posted April 12, 2006 at 06:30 AM Though I think the universe wouldn't mind... If your library has them, they could get accidentally copied onto your computer and deleted when you are done with them, which is sort of a socialist apporach to the library. Wouldn't want to deprive anyone else of its use while you are learning. Also, I have kept things out of the library for over a year by renewing, and that is generally how long Pimsleur products stick around before I learn them. If you can burn disks, there is always copies floating around on file-sharers, but for some reason the governments of the world don't agree with that... Quote
zenwizard Posted April 12, 2006 at 03:34 PM Report Posted April 12, 2006 at 03:34 PM I responded in the other post, but here is where I got mine. www.netlibrary.com Just download and use. Your public library should be able to give you a username/password to netlibrary, at least mine did. Quote
mlomker Posted April 17, 2006 at 01:57 AM Report Posted April 17, 2006 at 01:57 AM I bought my sets through www.cheappimsleur.com. They have a decent buy-back program but you can also resell them on Ebay at a very minimal loss. Quote
