Need help... could someone correc this real quick?

So I have a project for Chinese class where I need to create a narrative (that I will read aloud) about stuff surrounding a post office. THis is what I have so far... WARNING::: I have a very limited vocabulary when it comes to post office stuff, and I'm sure much of what I have so far needs to be re-written, but I need some serious help... could someone look over what I have so far? Also, if you have any ideas of others things I could mention, that would be nice. Thanks a ton!

English translation: A month ago I received a letter at the post office. The letter had postages from China. A friend living in China sent me the letter. My friend lives in Xi'An.

Since my friend from China wrote me a letter, I wanted to write back to him. After I wrote the letter I had to buy some postage. The post office worker asked me if the postage was for ordinary mail or registered mail. I wanted to send the letter to Xi'An with registered postage. I found that my letter was overweight, so I had to pay extra for the postage.

A couple of weeks later my friend wrote me another letter. He said he had found me a wife. He said she was extremely beautiful. In the letter my friend sent a picture of the woman. She really is beautiful. I have decided to go see her next month.

因为收到了中国朋友的信，我想给他写回信。写完信后我得取邮局买些邮票。邮局的工作人员就问我是平邮呢还是挂号。我打算寄挂号信，后来又发现信超重了，然后我就又付了额外超重部分的邮资。

两个星期后，我的朋友又给我写了一封信。他说他给我找到了妻子，并且非常漂亮，并随信附了她的照片。她确实很漂亮，我决定下个月去见见她。

May be this is more natural.I think you have mentioned most of the stuff surroundding the post office.But if you need,there is still others.

Do you want your letter sended by air(航空),urgently（加急）…etc.

ps://1. extremely beautiful, you may say it as '美若天仙',(meaning so beautiful like a goddess).

2. 我决定下個月和她碰面。(I have decided to meet her up next month.) You can also write : 我決定下個月去看她 as your english indicates.
