English word for 小灵通 ?

Is there an English word for 小灵通 ? I know it's a kind of mobile phones but "mobile phones" in Chinese is 手机, so what is 小灵通 ?

It's usually referred to in English as PHS or Personal Handyphone System, which is the name of the system and has the virtue of being ugly, rather than silly like the other version, 'Little Smart', which is the translation of the xiaolingtong brand name.

Edit: Having said that, I'd probably prefer to just use the pinyin, unless you are referring to the generic technology. And is there a less clumsy term for that the Personal Handyphone System? Personal Access System is also used, but doesn't seem much better.
