L-F-J Posted April 20, 2006 at 05:07 PM Report Posted April 20, 2006 at 05:07 PM Is this correct? I tried to make it rhyme without too many other words like 让 and 吧 like I'd probably say in conversation. Maybe it's not necessary, but I'm just making sure. "Life is uncertain, lets first eat ice-cream and dessert". 生命不定,我们先吃冰淇淋和甜品! Haha... Quote
sarahkuang Posted April 20, 2006 at 10:50 PM Report Posted April 20, 2006 at 10:50 PM You did very good. But I would like to do like this:生命是未知, 我们还是先吃冰淇淋和甜品。Is that an English saying? Quote
dougm24 Posted April 20, 2006 at 11:20 PM Report Posted April 20, 2006 at 11:20 PM The only thing I might change is 生命 to 生活, 生命means life with the meaning of existence, rather than if you wanted to talk about changes through your life Doug Quote
Quest Posted April 20, 2006 at 11:28 PM Report Posted April 20, 2006 at 11:28 PM We usually say 人生无常,世事无常. You could say 人生无常,还是先吃冰淇淋和甜品吧。 Quote
L-F-J Posted April 21, 2006 at 03:19 AM Author Report Posted April 21, 2006 at 03:19 AM Thanks, but is there a way to still make it rhyme? That's what makes it fun. Quote
