kudra Posted August 11, 2006 at 02:46 PM Report Posted August 11, 2006 at 02:46 PM @pazu Can you tell us how you got the screen capture off your palm? http://www.chinese-forums.com/showpost.php?p=79408&postcount=12 Thanks. Quote
mikelove Posted August 12, 2006 at 12:51 AM Report Posted August 12, 2006 at 12:51 AM There are probably lots of others, but my favorite Palm screenshot utility (and the one we use at Pleco for product manuals etc) is ScreenShotHack - well worth the US$15 cost. Quote
roddy Posted September 1, 2006 at 02:32 AM Author Report Posted September 1, 2006 at 02:32 AM Following on from my earlier post re CJKOS + Blazer conflicts - I used to get an insufficient memory message when trying to download mp3 files, email attachments, etc, via Blazer. I've now figured out that this is related to CJKOS's hefty memory use - if you turn it off you should find it works fine. Bit obscure, but might be helpful for someone. Quote
Long Pan Posted September 11, 2007 at 10:19 AM Report Posted September 11, 2007 at 10:19 AM there seems to be the possibility of conflict between CJKOS and Blazer, Palm's browser. As far as I can figure out, if you have too many or too large fonts installed, they can take up memory and Blazer will be unable to start. I used to get an insufficient memory message when trying to download mp3 files, email attachments, etc, via Blazer. Bit obscure, but might be helpful for someone Yes Roddy it helped me a lot to solve a conflict between CJKOS and Pleco on my TX, which seems to come from CJKOS GBK fonts. After deleting them (and keeping only GB + BIG5, 12, 16 & 24) everything works perfectly. See here for more details. Quote
ipsi() Posted September 12, 2007 at 02:02 AM Report Posted September 12, 2007 at 02:02 AM Also, for those that are wondering exactly why viewing Traditional Character webapges comes up with stuff like 你??坐, as opposed to 你們請坐, it's because CJKOS uses code-pages to convert from UTF-8 to GB2312, GBK or Big5, which is bloody stupid, but there we go. Unfortunately, it's not smart enough to check other encodings if it can't find the character in the encoding you've selected. Therefore, if you have GB2312 selected, it'll use the UTF-8 -> GB2312 codepage, but it won't bother using the UTF-8 -> Big5 codepage to try and diplay them both at once. Sigh. Quote
