bhchao Posted November 5, 2004 at 08:07 AM Report Posted November 5, 2004 at 08:07 AM Another example is the pairing of Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching-ling. He was born on Nov 12, 1866. She was born on Jan 27, 1893. His principle number is 8. Since he was born in the 19th century instead of the 20th century, you subtract from 11 rather than 10 because the second digit of 19th century years is one number smaller than the second digit of 20th century years (9). So his principle number would be calculated as follows: 6+6=12. 1+2=3. 11-3=8. Actually, adding all four digits of any given year, then adding the digits of the resulting sum, and finally subtracting from 11 will yield the same result. In this case, the year 1866: 1+8+6+6=21. 2+1=3. 11-3=8. If you want to be consistent in your calculation of the principle number across all years, use the above calculation. 1961 would be 1 + 9 + 6 + 1 = 17. 1+7=8. 11-8=3. This produces the same result as 6+1=7, 10-7=3. Ok back to Sun Yat-sen. Since his principle number is 8, his inner number is 2 and his energetic number is 3. So he has Nine Star Ki of 8, 2, 3 Soong Ching-ling has Nine Star Ki of 8, 9, 4 Let's examine their compatibility using Feng Shui's Nine Star Ki: 8 (Earth) - 8 (Earth) Identical 2 (Earth) - 9 (Fire) Supporting 3 (Wood) - 4 (Wood) Supporting Using this Feng Shui numerology, this was a very compatible combination. Both shared each other's idealism, and only in death did they part. Another luck? Hmm, maybe not, and maybe this is getting too accurate to the point of scariness. Sorry if I am boring you to death with this, but I suddenly became interested in this topic. Quote
bhchao Posted November 6, 2004 at 12:28 PM Report Posted November 6, 2004 at 12:28 PM Since the date 1972 is from the western tradition, why would you use something like that to get a "Kua" number Good question, but not easy to explain. My hunch is that the mathematical formula used by Feng Shui experts for "western tradition" years produces the same result as the formula used for the Chinese calendar. However when calculating the Kua number or the first number of the Nine Star Ki, be careful if you are born on a January or February because the Chinese New Year begins on one of those two months. For example, if you were born on Feb 8, 1964, you use 1963 as your year of birth because the Chinese New Year for 1964 begins on Feb 13, 1964. Quote
jsku Posted November 12, 2004 at 04:54 AM Report Posted November 12, 2004 at 04:54 AM Ian Lee Can you please post the bill number of the proposed legislation? It is interesting as I live in Sacramento..... Quote
Ian_Lee Posted February 2, 2005 at 08:33 PM Author Report Posted February 2, 2005 at 08:33 PM Believe it or not. According to the 14th annual Feng Shui Forecast made by the investment analyst Mr. Amar Gill of Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia, our great invincible leader Kim Jong Il will have a crash on Condolezza Rice, and will help US find the hideout of Bin Laden. Moreover, he also predicts that Kim will kidnap a world class director to make a 007 movie with Chow Yun Fat as James Bond. You must think it is a joke But Mr. Amar was deadly accurate last year. He predicted that there would be big hike in the prices of Gold and Petroleum. And that was exactly what had happened last year. Anyway, at least Gill's forecast makes news in South Korean newspaper: http://chinese.chosun.com/big5/site/data/html_dir/2005/02/02/20050202000014.html Quote
Claw Posted February 3, 2005 at 08:04 AM Report Posted February 3, 2005 at 08:04 AM You must think it is a joke But Mr. Amar was deadly accurate last year. He predicted that there would be big hike in the prices of Gold and Petroleum. And that was exactly what had happened last year. That was a relatively easy prediction... anyone paying even the slightest attention to the world markets could have forecasted that happening because of the falling U.S. dollar and the trouble in the Middle East. The predictions for this year seem a bit far-fetched though. The question is, what other predictions did he make for the last year (the more far-fetched, the better) and did they also happen? Quote
bhchao Posted February 14, 2005 at 07:26 AM Report Posted February 14, 2005 at 07:26 AM Kua number calculator: http://www.redlotusconsulting.com/KuaCalculator.html Kua numbers 1, 3, 4, and 9 belong to the East Group. Kua numbers 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 belong to the West Group. Feng Shui experts say that if you belong to the East Group, you will get along best with another East Group person. Likewise if you belong to the West Group, it is preferable that you marry another West Group person. However this does not necessarily mean that two individuals from different Groups will clash. They say that two people from the West and East Groups will complement each other if their numbers add up to 10. If your number is 3, and your partner's number is 7, then everything is fine. But if both of your numbers don't add up to 10, and both of you don't belong in the same Group, then you will have major problems in your marriage. I wouldn't take this too seriously though, just my opinion. But you never know. This could be dead accurate. Quote
bhchao Posted February 14, 2005 at 08:21 AM Report Posted February 14, 2005 at 08:21 AM our great invincible leader Kim Jong Il will have a crash on Condolezza Rice Ian, did you mean Kim Jr will have a crush on Condolezza Rice? If this prediction turns out to be true, then I will convert to Feng Shui. Quote
Ian_Lee Posted April 25, 2007 at 07:33 AM Author Report Posted April 25, 2007 at 07:33 AM The latest craze about Feng Shui is that Asia's richest woman, Nina Wang, who was rated as the 154th richest person on this planet by Forbes and at least five times wealthier than the Queen of England, gave her US$4.2 billion assets to her Feng Shui adviser in her last will (if another will doesn't appear). Of course, such news even made headline on the webpage on People's Daily! The PD webpage even quoted HK media gossip that Wang had lost her mind because she had been voodooed! So forget about medical or law school. They cannot make you rich while Feng Shui can! Quote
studentyoung Posted April 25, 2007 at 09:15 AM Report Posted April 25, 2007 at 09:15 AM So forget about medical or law school. They cannot make you rich while Feng Shui can! Well, Ian_Lee,I think you should consult Fengshui with the chief executive 杨日昌 at ASTRI in Hong Kong (香港应用科技研究院). http://social.singtaonet.com/singtao_ed/200704/t20070419_517123.html 香港应用科技研究院竟然摆下风水阵 香港应用科技研究院花了十八万元公帑,把术数风水应用在自己身上,在政府资助机构中可算“创新”。 Thanks! Ian_Lee Posted May 14, 2007 at 09:05 PM Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 at 09:05 PM Now even PRC officials are addicted to Feng Shui. A Shenzhen courthouse recently hired a Feng Shui Master from Hong Kong to look at the Feng Shui because recently there is "bad" luck in the building (five judges are detained for interrogation owing to corruption charges). The Feng Shui Master warned the other judges that there are three signs which are detrimental to their luck: (1) The courthouse faces a chimney which looks like an altar; (2) There is an atmosphere of "Yin" in the backyard of the courthouse. A pair of lion stone statues need to be erected there; (3) There are 11 steps leading to the entrance of the courthouse which is bad luck. It should be changed to 9 steps. Those supposedly atheist judges followed exactly the advices of that Feng Shui Master and remodified the courthouse without even applying for a Building Permit! Here is Xinhua's report with photos attached (pre and post remodification): http://big5.xinhuanet.com/gate/big5/news.xinhuanet.com/legal/2007-05/14/content_6096033.htm Quote
