smalldog Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:42 PM Report Posted April 27, 2006 at 03:42 PM Hi guys, I've been asked to come up with some suggestions for the name (in English and Chinese) of a new Chinese-run school in Singapore. It will be a school for mostly Chinese students aged 5-18 and will have a Western flavour, offering the IB programme and teaching many courses in English. Any ideas would be gratefully welcomed, and you might end up being able to say you named a school. Not many people can say that! The original name was Beijing Academy but that's a bit crap. I'd like something simple like Chinese International School but there's already one with that name in Hong Kong -- might be a problem. That one has the Chinese name 汉基国际学校. Another suggestion is Eastern International School (sounds ok to me) with the Chinese name being a phonetic translation like 伊斯顿 (urghhh!). Quote
