woliveri Posted May 5, 2006 at 09:00 AM Report Posted May 5, 2006 at 09:00 AM It's really confusing how to guage an HSK level. How does one guage an HSK level? For example, there is a requirement of an HSK 4 or better to enter Chinese Medical School. What does that mean? What can an HSK level 4 do in terms of Chinese? Thanks for any replies and clairity? geraldc Posted May 5, 2006 at 09:12 AM Report Posted May 5, 2006 at 09:12 AM Take the HSK test (or a mock test) and your results will give you your HSK level. When you're level 4, the beginners HSK shouldn't be a problem http://www.hsk.org.cn/oldmoni/moni1.1.asp Quote
wushijiao Posted May 5, 2006 at 02:13 PM Report Posted May 5, 2006 at 02:13 PM A 4 means that you have to take the Elementary and Intermediate Chinese Proficiency Test. The test goes from 3-8. 8 is the best. If you do very poorly, you won't get a score. At 3 points, you get a score. Read this link for more info: http://www.hsk.org.cn/english/Intro_hsk2.aspx Quote
