Pinyin for Chinese "ID card"?

That is, the one that everyone is supposed to carry with them. Could only find the word for "passport" in my dictionary.

How about "identity card", 一性 卡, yīxìng kǎ?

(just a guess)

I just found these two in Wenlin (ABC) dictionary:

shēnfenzhèng 身分/份证[-分/份證] n. ①identity/identification card; ID M:¹zhāng

shēnfen zhèngmíng 身份证明[--證-] n. personal I.D. M:¹zhāng

I "think" it might be more literally translated as "proof of identity".
