roddy Posted May 18, 2006 at 03:47 PM Report Posted May 18, 2006 at 03:47 PM This page makes reference to three year multi-entry visas. I've never heard of these before, and find it hard to believe they're given out easily. I emailed the firm to ask, with no response, so I was wondering - anyone heard of these? Know of any restrictions? Roddy Quote
guest1234 Posted May 18, 2006 at 09:13 PM Report Posted May 18, 2006 at 09:13 PM Hi Roddy I have a three year multi-entry visa from the Embassy in London. You can apply for a 3-5 year multi-entry visa on the same form as the single entry ones. it allows as many entries as you want up to 90 days stay at a time. I had a few single ones first then asked for a 2 year one which they gave me and after that they give me whatever I apply for. I am not sure if they give the longer ones out straight away they seem to like to get to know you first. hope this helps Quote
flameproof Posted May 18, 2006 at 11:39 PM Report Posted May 18, 2006 at 11:39 PM The situation in Hong Kong: The longest visa anyone can just buy is 1 year. There is also a 3 year visa, which is given out only to HK permanent residents. bagua Interesting. I did not know that. What visa type you hold? Is that the (F) type? Quote
roddy Posted May 19, 2006 at 01:05 AM Author Report Posted May 19, 2006 at 01:05 AM Ah, if they've got the 90 day entry limitation then that's not so much use - maybe ok if you're living in Shenzhen or Guangzhou, but a bit of a pain from Beijing. Quote
flameproof Posted May 19, 2006 at 01:16 AM Report Posted May 19, 2006 at 01:16 AM I think you can get the stay limitation waived if you ask for it when you apply the visa. Quote
KingKitega Posted May 19, 2006 at 06:27 AM Report Posted May 19, 2006 at 06:27 AM hi flameproof - I read your reply (and in another post elsewhere). Is this visa attached to my british passport (as with other visas) or is it standalone with my HKID card? Quote
flameproof Posted May 19, 2006 at 07:48 AM Report Posted May 19, 2006 at 07:48 AM The visa is a full page sticker in you passport and looks exactly like all the other visas. Quote
carlo Posted May 20, 2006 at 05:50 PM Report Posted May 20, 2006 at 05:50 PM I'm not sure if this has anything to do with what you are discussing, but I have a 3-year Z-type visa. They started issuing these visas only a couple of years ago I think. Quote
