Howdy,

I'm really glad i came across this place. I've been in Beijing for about a month now teaching English and I'm loving it but i really need to start working on my Chinese. I'm spending too much time hanging out with other foreigners and not enough time with the locals- not that i could understand them

Anyways, i got the summer off and i am seriously thinking about one the intensive chinese courses offered around the area. Being on a budget, I'm trying to find the best bang for my buck.

I came across the BLCU course that seems to be fairly popular but it is $2500 which is quite a bit of cash. I can afford it but would rather not spend that much.

I'm also looking at this bootcamp ( sinocamps.com ) because it sounds pretty good and the fees are reasonable. ( about $550 for two weeks all inclusive). I could actually do two bootcamps this summer for less than the BLCU program.

Can anyone give me some feedback about the two courses and tell me if the price difference is really worth it?
