skylee Posted February 11, 2004 at 02:25 PM Report Posted February 11, 2004 at 02:25 PM 藍宇, 好看!!! But how could such a film be made in China? I mean with all the nudity and homosexual relationship (kisses, embraces, sex scenes). And has it ever been shown/released in China? Quote
roddy Posted February 11, 2004 at 03:05 PM Report Posted February 11, 2004 at 03:05 PM According to this article on gay culture in China, they just didn't ask . . . I doubt very much it's been released in China officially, although the article above says it was shown as part of a university film festival. I've never seen it in pirate DVD shops, even though other banned or unreleased films are often available. I haven't been looking for it though, so maybe it is . . . hparade Posted February 11, 2004 at 07:27 PM Report Posted February 11, 2004 at 07:27 PM yes, i've heard it had been shown "secretly" in some universities... but it's a sad film...... i prefer comedy more Quote
tooironic Posted July 16, 2012 at 01:13 PM Report Posted July 16, 2012 at 01:13 PM Just watched this film tonight, and I thought it was fantastic. The dynamic between the leads is really believable and touching, and the dialogue is great. I thought the ending was a bit abrupt though. The complete blog/e-novel the film was based on is available here. May read it if I can find the time, doesn't look too long. Quote
chestnut818 Posted July 16, 2012 at 01:31 PM Report Posted July 16, 2012 at 01:31 PM This film is based on an online novel 《北京故事》, I think the novel is even better than the film.. Quote
