Online Chinese Slang

Hey all

I have been browsing some chinese forums and found some chinese words that I don't understand like: 沙发 and 顶. What does theese words mean ? (I do not mean the "real" meanings, like Sofa, but the "slang" meaning)

Im sure there have to be more of theese "online slang words". Just look at all the english "words" like: lol, lmao, wtf, stfu, imho, and so on...

I'm not sure of the meaning of 沙发, but I have noticed the slang as well:

路过, momo, 汗.

路过 I understand to be like "um yeah didn't get that"

momo, I have no idea

汗 is like those animation characters in japanese anime? Something to indicate something else to be lame or their embarassment of something?

顶 = "bump"

沙发 is stupid. Whoever responds first to a post supposedly has the 沙发. Some juvenile deliquents would reply with a post containing solely the word "沙发" just to claim that "bragging right."

You're welcome. It just occurred to me that "沙发" probably come from little kids fighting for a space on the sofa, a little like kids fighting for "shotgun" in a car.
