flameproof Posted May 31, 2006 at 06:20 AM Report Posted May 31, 2006 at 06:20 AM Here is a complete list of Mandarin and Cantonese measure words: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_measure_word I always like to use that link. For those behind the great firewall of China I added the page in RAR format. Chinese_measure_word.rar Quote

Long Zhiren Posted June 2, 2006 at 06:25 AM Report Posted June 2, 2006 at 06:25 AM The wikipedia link is quite amazing. Is that server ever going to run out of disk space? However, a website like http://german.about.com/ would make more sense for this kind of information, even more so than chinese-forums unless the articles could be better linked. The chinese-forums search utility seems to me kind of hard to use. I'd like to figure out where I've posted if I've forgotten. The wikipedia article should mention that English can often get complicated when describing groups of things like animals...herd, pack, flock, pod, army...but that's about it. And then groups of other things...squadron, wing, flight, gaggle, passle... Quote
