wai ming Posted June 2, 2006 at 11:50 AM Report Posted June 2, 2006 at 11:50 AM (Sorry if this is the wrong forum, please feel free to move it as appropriate.) Lately I've had random, apparently Chinese, 'people' adding me to their MSN contact lists. The weird thing is they always have some automatic reply function with a link directing to a personal page on something like 中国缘 (something like a Chinese version of Friendster, I guess) and always have their status set to busy, and never answer any questions... which makes me suspect that they're bots. Their email addresses always have rather long strings of random letters and numbers. Are bots infiltrating instant messaging now? And why do they always link to 'personal webpages' on 中国缘? Quote
Sam Posted June 3, 2006 at 08:48 AM Report Posted June 3, 2006 at 08:48 AM I've also experienced the same thing recently although I have been blocking these people. Quote
