roddy Posted June 5, 2006 at 02:43 AM Report Posted June 5, 2006 at 02:43 AM There is an SMS directory service where you can send in a restaurant or bar name and get the address back. I'm not sure what the number is though - can anyone remember it? I think they used to advertise in thatsbj. As for the map, there's a ton of them if you search, but what do you mean by district? The smaller ones won't be marked on English maps and the only way to find them on Chinese maps is by poring over the approximate area. Roddy Quote

gougou Posted June 5, 2006 at 09:58 AM Report Posted June 5, 2006 at 09:58 AM If you read Chinese characters, this one is copy of the one sold at all the newspaper stands. Ease of use is not among its strong points, though. As for districts: the yellow one on the top left is what you call home, the huge orange thing on the right is Chaoyang. The small pink and blue parts in the middle are Xicheng and Dongcheng, respectively. Green and yellow below that, Xuanwu and Chongwen. Shunyi is the dark blue part at the end of the world (the northeastern end, that is) Quote
