First decide which city you want to study in, and then ask your question again :-) Also say how long you want to study for. As for picking which city - Beijing is the capital and the most geared up to teaching mandarin to foreigners. However, it's not a pretty city. Shanghai is also geared up to teaching Mandarin, but mainly to business people so the atmosphere would be different. I guess. I've picked Beijing, but I looked very closely at Kunming (lovely weather and geographically better located) but ruled it out as they might teach me "bad" pronunciation :-) And flying to/from London and Kunming wasn't so quick.
