aPriest Posted June 13, 2006 at 09:01 AM Report Posted June 13, 2006 at 09:01 AM I've looked around but haven't found a recent post on this...I hope I didn't miss it. I'm here for a month doing an internship and I need a laundromat or laundry service...does anyone know where I can find one??? I'm in Beijing, near DongSi and Chang An Ave...(by Oriental Plaza). I'd rather not become the smelly foreign visitor in my office...haha...so any help is greatly appreciated. Quote
doumeizhen Posted June 27, 2006 at 02:07 PM Report Posted June 27, 2006 at 02:07 PM I can't believe no one responded to this... Most of the people I have met in person smelled clean... The apartments that I have lived in had washing machines, and when I was at a university for two months, there were some Ayi (Aunties) in the neighborhood who would do your washing. I think the matter is fairly common and inexpensive. Laundry/Laudromat wise, I have no idea. You've probably asked your colleagues by now, they would be your best source. Did you have any luck? Quote
aPriest Posted June 29, 2006 at 08:03 AM Author Report Posted June 29, 2006 at 08:03 AM Hey...thanks for the response. Don't worry, I don't smell (as far as I know at least!). I ended up just grossly overpaying for my hotel's laundry service. I can't believe there aren't any public laundromats here...someone should start that business up. Thanks again! Quote
