Crivens200 Posted June 21, 2006 at 03:01 PM Report Share Posted June 21, 2006 at 03:01 PM I wonder, has anyone come across any ebooks that assist in learning chinese? I have a pocket pc and it would be good to catch up on some reading practice on the bus/train etc those times I forget my study books. Anyone any ideas? gato Posted June 21, 2006 at 11:01 PM Report Share Posted June 21, 2006 at 11:01 PM Do you have PlecoDict already? I just use the PlecoDict flashcards if I have some dead time or read articles I downloaded from the web. http://pleco.com/pdscreenshots.html
Crivens200 Posted June 22, 2006 at 02:42 AM Author Report Share Posted June 22, 2006 at 02:42 AM Yeah - I have plecodict but instead of using flashcards for single words I would like to read books on my pda. Any suggestions?
gato Posted June 22, 2006 at 03:29 AM Report Share Posted June 22, 2006 at 03:29 AM What level is your Chinese? Can you read the daily papers? Newspaper and magazine articles might be easier to read on the PDA than whole-length books. But if you really want books, this site links to plenty of texts: http://www.csulb.edu/~txie/reading.htm Lots of novels here: http://www.white-collar.net/wx_hsz/hsz_mjyj.htm Does PlecoDict's "instant access" work on the PocketPC when you need to look up a definition while reading a doc?
