叫听 - Translation

What exactly does 叫听, as in "这个工程现在被有关部门叫停了", mean? Something like "announce"? It doesn't seem to appear in any dictionary.

I think the word you write "叫听", actually is "叫停"

this word means something is been called to stop.for example ,you have do some business ,but it is illegal.so the government is order you to stop the whole thing

叫停 means that some organizes ask the other organizes or people to stop some activities which they oppose.

叫停 is an informal usage of being noticed to stop for, for example, a project or plan etc. due to something unexpectedly happened or something wrong with it and so on, generally speaking,when a project or a plan is 叫停 it may have but little chance to re-start. It can be understood as "called off" or "on hold"

Of, course, you're right: I meant 叫停. For some reason I just always read it as 叫听...
