what do you DO to study?

ok, I always see people on here say, "i study chinese for x hours everyday" or "i listen to chinese for x hours every day". but what do you DO? like, say, first review new vocab outloud until i get it, then listen to x amount of mandarin radio, then get out a notebook and write chinese for however long, etc...

im asking cause i dont think i can get in more than an hour of hard study everyday, so i must not be doing enough. plus i just wanna know what you all do every day.

btw, i am at a basic level.

I use Integratd Chinese, and write 10 characters a day. I don't memorize all, but I try my best. I would appericate tips too.

Since I have to intern everday and spend 3 hours total commuting, I am fairly tired so I don't have much time to study this summer, but I do speak Chinese everday at work. Also, I spend about an hour a day reading a business Chinese texbook I have, but I have not yet managed to start learning new characters this summer. I just spent a year studying Chinese intensely over here, so I am kind of burnt out.

gamerfu, I am using Integrated Chinese, too. I have just completed the first lesson in the second book (level one, part two). its a pretty good textbook series. are you using the workbook with it?

anyway, just to answer my own topic, I usually to a 10 minute read though/review of all the stuff i have recently learned, then if i dont get it all, review more, then go to this forum and try to find some words/concepts to learn. (thats the hardest part!! since i can only learn words in context its difficult to find words to learn!!) and then i go learn the words and call my bf and have him practice them with me. then if i have time i will look a little bit at the textbook. (btw im a junior in highschool so i am on my summer break right now so i have TONS of time.)
