aPriest Posted July 3, 2006 at 06:39 AM Report Posted July 3, 2006 at 06:39 AM Hey all, I am preparing to return to the US, but I had a quick question about exchanging money. Does anyone have any insight on whether it is better to do this in the Beijing airport (RMB to USD) or to wait until I arrive back in the US to do my exchange back to USD? Is one better than the other? Does it make no difference? Any advice at all is appreciated. Thank you! Quote
jbiesnecker Posted July 3, 2006 at 06:41 AM Report Posted July 3, 2006 at 06:41 AM As I remember, either option will get you rather badly raped in terms of exchange rate. If you have the right paperwork (an exchange allowance from your employer, or receipts from when you changed USD into RMB earlier) I would exchange your money back at a Bank of China before heading to the airport...
