Peng Posted July 11, 2006 at 03:06 PM Report Posted July 11, 2006 at 03:06 PM After I finished with this latest comic strip, I talked with my Chinese translator trying to figure out the Chinese name for Gogo Yubari (from Kill Bill). It's hard to find it in google.cn, cn.yahoo.com, and baidu.com... Sometime I see "制服美少女殺手"... No lucky. At least he ended up using "制服美少女殺手 夕張GoGo"... Is there such Chinese name for Gogo Yubari? I can't find Japanese Kanji/Kana for Gogo Yubari either. I know the actress's name, 栗山千明 though. Quote
roddy Posted July 11, 2006 at 04:35 PM Report Posted July 11, 2006 at 04:35 PM I found references to Go Go 夕张 and the charming “狗狗游百里, but I doubt you could take either of those as authoritative. And while I have the opportunity, will the entire world please click the link in Peng's post and read the wonderful comics contained within - indeed, click right the way back to the start and read them all the way through, they're that good . . . Peng Posted July 12, 2006 at 01:08 AM Author Report Posted July 12, 2006 at 01:08 AM All right, I guess I am going with Go Go 夕張 or 夕張 Go Go. Thank you! I wonder, why 夕張? I don't see any connections between Gogo Yubari and 夕張... Quote
HashiriKata Posted July 12, 2006 at 07:28 AM Report Posted July 12, 2006 at 07:28 AM I wonder, why 夕張? I don't see any connections between Gogo Yubari and 夕張..."Go Go 夕張" is the Japanese version for "Gogo Yubari". Then, the Chinese version must be "狗狗游百里". Quote
