yorkie_bear Posted July 16, 2006 at 11:22 AM Report Posted July 16, 2006 at 11:22 AM I was on a bus in Cambodia and the entertainment was a Chinese film dubbed in Cambodian. It was about (as far as I could make out) this band of Japanese soldiers around WW2 taking over this house in the countryside where the residents had hidden a Golden Buddha. It was full of slapstick comedy on how this humble household trick/maim/boobytrap/and generally defeat the Japanese. Anyone know what it was called? thanks for any help. Quote

wfujkramer Posted July 17, 2006 at 12:18 AM Report Posted July 17, 2006 at 12:18 AM that is definitely the one they're talking about. I don't think my chinese friends could envision anything funnier than seeing the same japanese soldier get his balls smashed 800 times in a row. there is probably an even more popular sequel where he gets strapped to a table and the two young chinese brothers hit him with hammers for two hours. skylee Posted July 17, 2006 at 02:06 PM Report Posted July 17, 2006 at 02:06 PM Good. I hadn't even heard of this film. I just googled with the keywords "喜劇 村民 佛像". Quote
