bellaop Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:20 PM Report Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:20 PM Hello everybody! This is Belinda from Sweden, and I really need som help with a question that I have concerning writing in Chinese. I have a Chinese friend but she is born in Sweden. She asked me to make her a logotype to her mobile/cellular phone, and the text she wanted was "My heart" "My heart" like my darling, or my loved one. She was a bit confused when she wrote it in chinese, and she wasn't shore if it was right. Her writing is like this: 我的心臟 I have been looking in book in the library, but all I can find is horoscope-signs. Can anybody tell my how to write (my heart) in chinese, please! I would be so glad! /Belinda:help Quote
anonymoose Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:34 PM Report Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:34 PM 我的心臟 does indeed mean "my heart", but how does this equate to "my darling" or "my loved one"? 心臟 means "heart", as in the thing beating inside your chest. I think you'd be better off with 我的甜心 which literally means "my sweet heart". Quote
roddy Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:44 PM Report Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:44 PM I would just go with 心 - simpler to draw Quote
bellaop Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:44 PM Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 at 04:44 PM Of course it should be 甜心, how stupid I am. Thanks for the reply! If you have more suggestions I'm happy to hear it (but I rather se it) /:D Belinda Quote
bellaop Posted July 25, 2006 at 05:48 PM Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 at 05:48 PM Thanks roddy. As I was enlightned by anonymoose I understand that 心 means the fysical heart, as I was looking for the philosofical meaning as in "love" or "loved one". /Belinda Quote
