ruiqiu Posted July 28, 2006 at 04:06 AM Report Posted July 28, 2006 at 04:06 AM I have a few questions about Chinese visas and would be grateful for any help on the following matters: 1. Do you know if it is legal to teach English for a language school or work in other roles with a business 'F' visa? 2. Can you legally study with a business 'F' visa? 3. Also, what is the maximum length of time that you can stay in China for, without leaving the country, with a business 'F' visa? Quote
roddy Posted July 28, 2006 at 04:42 AM Report Posted July 28, 2006 at 04:42 AM 1) No, but it's often done. I would want a working visa for any long-term employment though, which any legitimate employer should be willing and able to get for you. 2) Yes. An F visa is strictly speaking 访问- visiting, and can be used for non-business purposes. 3) Depends. Could be a 30 day maximum stay limit, or no limit at all beyond the length of your visa. Quote
wix Posted July 29, 2006 at 01:39 AM Report Posted July 29, 2006 at 01:39 AM When I was living in China I had an F visa. The initial visa was for six months, but the company I worked for extended it twice. They got a three month extension each time for a total of one year. Quote
