Finding Wenlin in Beijing

Hi,

I am studying Chinese in Beijing at present and have recently heard about Wenlin and what an amazing program it is. I have searched the electronic markets and shops around Haidian and have been unable to find it, I was wondering if anyone else has had any luck finding it in the shops and could recommend a good vendor? Would greatly appreciate any advice, im staying around Beijing until the end of the summer, my mobile number is 13522894394 if anyone feels they can help me out, would very much appreciate a text.

I don't think it's ever been available retail in China. You might try wenchina.net - no experience of dealing with them though - or just order internationally if possible.

OT: for a dictionary to be sold on the Mainland does all the words have to be approved by the gov.? I always wondered why the great ABC dictionary could not be found in Shanghai (or at least I couldnt) and I had to get it from HGK.

I've seen locally produced editions of the ABC on sale in Beijing. Not for a while, but I haven't been looking. I guess they may make some edits.
