PinYin tones in Adso Vocab

First of all, a big thanks to Trevelyan & Co for their commendable efforts, Adsotrans is very cool and of great help to us learners. :)

Then the question, just a small detail in Adso Vocab: would it be possible to let the user choose whether the tones are displayed as numbers instead of tone marks? The reason I'm asking is that I found it easy to export Adso Vocab lists to Declan's FlashCard program. The only problem is this program does not understand the tone marks.

The second request is that there would be a space between each pinyin syllable, e.g. tou2 qiu2 instead of tou2qiu2.

Would it be possible to implement these options? Perhaps they are already on your roadmap for Adso Vocab?

Keep up the good work! :clap

You're swimming upstream! Everyone else wants the tone marks!

It should be possible to have users choose their display option for tones. Won't get to this for another week, but thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the reply. If I were just going to print the lists then tone marks or numbers would not be an issue (I can't say I've noticed any difference in terms of memorizing them), this is just a technical problem.

Any which way, I do like to have a space between each syllable, just a personal preference.

Agh! Ugh! Ick! You'd be better off trying to overcome this unfortunate preference than asking that others mess up proper Pinyin (not "PinYin").

Don't overreact, Taibei. Take a deep breath...that's it, breathe :)

As I stated in my first post, I wanted to export the adso vocab lists to Declan's Flashcard application, and that requires that superfluous space between syllables.

Perfectly legitimate request. Will see what I can do. Shouldn't be too difficult.
