JohnDoe2 Posted February 25, 2004 at 12:12 AM Report Posted February 25, 2004 at 12:12 AM If there ARE/WERE socioeconomic class distinctions in eastern China, where would a salary of 9,000 won per month place someone on the socioeconomic level? Where would half that amount place him? Quote
skylee Posted February 25, 2004 at 01:49 AM Report Posted February 25, 2004 at 01:49 AM korean won? But 9000 won = 63 RMB and no more ... ??? Quote
smithsgj Posted February 25, 2004 at 03:30 AM Report Posted February 25, 2004 at 03:30 AM Trolling I think. Was posting elsewhere, asking "will he be able to fend off the advances of the pretty girls when working in China". Quote
JohnDoe2 Posted February 25, 2004 at 05:00 AM Author Report Posted February 25, 2004 at 05:00 AM No, no, no.... I'm not trolling. The currency in question is Chinese, not Korean. And the deliberate misquote regarding how a married male who is not accompanied by his wife will be perceived is unfair. I perceive an extremely cynical and hostile culture on this board. I see now why there are relatively few participants. Have nice lives... if you can. Quote
