cometrue Posted February 25, 2004 at 11:24 AM Report Posted February 25, 2004 at 11:24 AM here is one of my favor, the auther is the 华语乐坛 No.1 lyric writer 林夕, the one using modern languege shows a 宋词's conception...
confucius Posted March 23, 2004 at 07:20 PM Report Posted March 23, 2004 at 07:20 PM My favorite lyrics are from the film "Yellow Earth" in the scene where the little Shaanxi boy sings a funny folk song to the PLA army man who was sent to that area to gather music. The lyrics are about a country girl who laments her fate of having a marriage arranged with an immature bedwetter. I used the pause button on my VCR to write them down and used to sing it on long train rides along the Silk Road. Quote
geek_frappa Posted April 5, 2004 at 01:33 PM Report Posted April 5, 2004 at 01:33 PM
Guest kimstudio Posted April 6, 2004 at 04:55 PM Report Posted April 6, 2004 at 04:55 PM Chinese pop song lyrics are different from English ones. Lots of Chinese lyrics are more or less like a poem. Sometimes you don't know what they mean exactly. Singers just want to show a certain atmosphere. Now hip-hop and rap are more popular in China, so more and more lyrics can tell a full story, like beijing opera . For me, i like poem lyrics... Quote
