Jamoldo Posted August 9, 2006 at 10:16 PM Report Posted August 9, 2006 at 10:16 PM This probably only applies to US based students but if anyone else has ideas, please do let me know. I just graduated from college/university this past spring and I am going to be studying at Beijing Normal University for at least one year, most likely two years. I can't seem to find a proper educational loan; I've called Sallie Mae and they could not help since I have now graduated and the fact that Beijing Normal University's Language school for foreigners is a non-degree program. Furthermore, its not in the Salle Mae, US department of Education system. Any ideas, other than going to a loan shark on how I could apply for loans? thanks Quote
Qcash3 Posted August 9, 2006 at 11:59 PM Report Posted August 9, 2006 at 11:59 PM Dude, check this site out. I do not know if they only give loans to U.S. enrolled college students though, but it's worth a look. I would also suggest looking for a scholarship, such as the CSC scholarship. This way you won't have to pay anything back . The CSC scholarship can cover partial expenses or full expenses depending on the one you apply for, and can be found here. Good Luck! Quote
Jamoldo Posted August 11, 2006 at 01:40 AM Author Report Posted August 11, 2006 at 01:40 AM Hey Q, where in MD are you from? I'm from Hunt Valley, right outside of Baltimore, north of it, actually. I looked up the loans website and it looks like you need to be enrolled in some sort of degree I might just have to call my school's financial aid office to ask them for opinions. What a pain. Thanks for the links though. Quote
