Thanks, cometrue. When was the last time you saw him? Is it true that he performed there everyday? What do you think about his performance? If you have time, please do drop a few line. I am interested.

Some music by 崔建 Cui Jian is here. There's a lot more music on that site, yuedui.com.

'一无所有' is his most famous song, it was very popular with the students on Tiananmen Square in 1989.

oh, maybe i should've said he performed there sometimes; the last time at least 2 years ago, i think his music is nice, maybe we should call him as china's bob dylan since they are alike. i mean both hippies. and i have heard his version of "blowing in the wind", not bad!

I wonder why anyone hasn't mentioned Cui Jian's official website here.. www.cuijian.com , which is a good place to find updated news, pics, samples etc. about Cui Jian. A good resource. If someone has mentioned the site here, I guess I just didn't notice it.

Someone reported a post in this thread, to say they know a lot about Yang Yi and ask if it is still relevant. Sure, post it! There is not a lot of information about Yang Yi in this thread and I imagine he's not easy to google, so post away.

Posting this answer here, since the person who reported is not a member of the forums (yet), so I can't send them a message ?

More recent pics I've seen of him he had a shaved head and robes that made it look like he's taken a religious vow.
