kezhengze Posted August 25, 2006 at 03:50 PM Report Posted August 25, 2006 at 03:50 PM Hello, Can anyone who has taken long-term language courses at Tsinghua share some of the program details? Anything that gives more specifics than what they provide on their website would be great. For example: -What's the class scheduling like? (first class of the day, core class and elective scheduling, etc.) -How flexible are they as far as you deciding your schedule? -Is there a max/min number of courses you can/must take? -What books/teaching materials are used? -What are the professors like? (any particular ones to request or avoid?) -Any elective courses that are particularly good? Right now I'm trying to decide between Tsinghua and Diqiucun. Actually, I had already decided on the latter, but am now considering Tsinghua again as I'm having some visa difficulties that would be easily sorted out if I attended a university. I know there are some out there who wouldn't recommend Tsinghua, but I missed the application deadline for my first choice and have already been accepted, so... I'm gonna roll with it. ~Ke Quote
Qcash3 Posted August 25, 2006 at 07:16 PM Report Posted August 25, 2006 at 07:16 PM Hi, I don't know anything about the language program at Tsinghua but I will be going there in a few weeks and I am just going to roll with the punches. I am meeting with my Chinese teacher in a few days, and I am hoping that she will be able to clear up some of the fog regarding the language program there, if she does I will post what I learn here. Good luck with whatever you choose mate. Quote
