An international money transfer costs a fair bit of money. Paypal, on the other hand, is free. I need to send some money to a person I know in China. If they have a paypal account, will they be able to convert the Australian money they recieve into renminbi? I don't think paypal deals in that currency except for paypal.com.cn but that cant deal with any foreign currency.

So I guess this person would send the Australian money from their paypal account to their Chinese bank so the question is will the Chinese bank convert the money to renmibi for a Chinese citizens account?

If anyone knows itd be of great help.

The reason i ask is because i know China is quite strict in foreign currency exchanges. And remember individuals and enterprises are treated differently.
