一动不动 - meaning both physical and figurative?

I looked 一动不动 up in the dictionary and the definition does not quite fit the context I saw it in: "like a log" as in sleeping.

Could it also mean "not moving". Can it also be used figuratively? Can anyone offer another very common example of its use.

Sometimes you could also hear people say "一動也不動".

"一動不動","一動也不動", the literal translation from this sentence should be

" not moving even a little movement ". Thus we could know this phrase means

not moving or keeping still.

ex.

電腦又當機了，滑鼠游標一動不動，只能重開機了。

（电腦又死机了，鼠标一动不动，只能重起了。）

昨晚他醉得倒在那一動不動，還是我扛他回家的。

這驢子又鬧倔脾氣，一動不動的就是不走。

A similar usage I've come across recently where I'm not quite sure of the meaning is 不要动不动xxx, for example in 韩寒's 不要动不动就举国暴怒. Does this mean something along the lines of unreflected?

frequently

happening easily (e.g. accident or illness)

And 不要 means "stop being/behaving like this".
